GEORGE PETER ROSE

George Peter Rose was born and raised in Germany.  At the age of 13, he moved with his parents to the United States.  From 1967 to 1971, he attended the University of Florida on a full ROTC scholarship, graduating with a B.A. in Political Science in 1971.  He received his J.D. degree in 1974 from the University of Florida School of Law, and was thereafter admitted to the Florida Bar in 1975.   He then served in the U.S. Army JAG Corps, which eventually brought him to the Pacific Northwest.  He was admitted to the Washington State Bar Association in 1982, and began the private practice of law in 1985, after leaving active military duty.

Since 1985, Mr. Rose has specialized in the area of personal and small business bankruptcies in which he has successfully represented clients in over 4,000 Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings.  He is a member of the Washington State Bar Debtor/Creditor Section and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.  He has spoken at numerous continuing legal education classes attended by other attorneys.

Mr. Rose is passionate about advocating for his clients in the practice of bankruptcy law.  He prides himself on his attention to detail, his personal approach to every legal representation of a client, and in helping clients resolve their financial difficulty with dignity and professionalism.

When not in the office, Mr. Rose enjoys spending time with his wife and son, traveling, hiking, cooking, and riding his mountain bike.  Ask him about Banner Forest.

AMY WILBURN

Legal Assistant

Amy has worked in the Law Office of George Peter Rose since July, 2009.  She graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 1994 with her BA in French, and subsequently in 1995 with her Master’s Degree in Education. She is currently attending Seattle University School of Law.  In her free time, she enjoys travelling, playing the piano, reading, quilting, and spending time with her two children.

To Amy, helping clients through their bankruptcy is personally fulfilling.  She enjoys working with clients, who often come to the office during a time of crisis.  She values the relationships that are built, whether it is during a Chapter 13 procedure, which may span several years, or a more brief Chapter 7. It is a privilege to be entrusted with clients’ financial well-being, and she takes that trust seriously.  Behind the scenes, Amy enjoys the work that goes into the care and maintenance of a bankruptcy. Like creating a quilt, the details must be precise and accurate. Similarly, in every bankruptcy proceeding, it is this attention to detail that ensures a successful outcome.
